Instituto Rosa Del Este works on several fronts with the purpose of redefining the pain of those who have already suffered some type of violence and transforming the future of these people.  The OS - Social Organization, provides social and psychological support to victims of violence, but also to promote assistance that causes long-term impacts on these people's lives, such as professional training and constant work with the victim so that she understands her value and sees herself as a human being deserving of good things. .

The Brazilian Public Security Yearbook indicates that 648 women were victims of femicide in the first half of 2020 alone, an increase of 1.9% compared to the same period in 2019. And according to the Public Security Secretariat, Rio Grande do Sul is one of the states that registered an increase in the number of femicides: 28 women were murdered for reasons of gender in March, April and May. In April, the increase was 66.7% compared to the same period in 2019. And in Caxias do Sul, these global data, unfortunately, also reverberate, as 382 women were assisted by the Women's Reference Center, generating another 1239 face-to-face and indirect services. 

In addition, during the pandemic, the domestic space can be a particularly hostile environment for LGBT+ people due to the frequent discrimination they suffer, increasing their exposure to domestic and family violence. The non-recognition of the sexual orientation or gender identity of these subjects forces them to live with everyday situations of physical and psychological violence. A phenomenon that becomes more worrying in Brazil due to its high rates of violence against the LGBT population. 

Instituto Rosa Del Este assists victims so that they have the opportunity to go back to school, learn a profession, find themselves again as a human being, re-signify their role in society, in the family and as a professional.
